UCO Alumni Legacy Scholarship

The UCO Alumni Legacy Scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen second and third generation students who make UCO their choice for an undergraduate university degree. This $1,000 scholarship is paid at $500 per fall/spring semester.

Requirements

• At least one parent, grandparent or legal guardian who graduated from UCO
• 3.0 minimum GPA for incoming students
• Enrolled in 12 hours or more per semester

Note, a student who does not meet the eligibility criteria at the time of enrollment cannot become eligible in a future semester.

How to apply

1. Incoming freshmen can apply in early summer through the Scholarship Portal. Specific dates will be posted this spring.
2. Incoming freshmen must designate that they are a legacy on their application.
   • Applicants who fail to identify themselves as a legacy on their application will not be considered for the scholarship.
3. Legacy status will be verified prior to the disbursement of the scholarship.

Details

The UCO Foundation will notify the scholarship recipients of their selection prior to the beginning of the fall semester. The Alumni Engagement Committee will be responsible for selecting the recipients. The selection process is competitive and is based on need, GPA, test scores, and essays on the application.
