Allen Wright has more than 30 years of experience in fundraising, philanthropy and public and government relations.

Wright is a former senior executive with Devon Energy and Koch Industries, including service as the Vice President of the Fred and Mary Koch Foundation. His public service includes roles in two presidential campaigns as well as serving as Chief of Staff to U.S. Congressman Frank Lucas. Early in his career, Wright served in assistant/aide roles to Oklahoma Governor Henry Bellmon and Corporation Commissioner J.C. Watts. He most recently worked in the private sector helping organizations with fundraising and strategy.

Wright holds a master’s degree in political science from UCO where he was named Outstanding Graduate and received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the university in 2013. He also has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Oklahoma.

Much like UCO, his Oklahoma roots run deep. A fifth-generation Oklahoman and proud member of the Choctaw Nation, he is the great-great grandson of Chief Allen Wright (1868-72) who suggested the name “Oklahoma” for the new territory.
