Memorial Scholarship

Friends, foodies and Oklahomans, the time has come to support the legacy of our friend and mentor, Chef John Bennett.

In life, he brought fine dining and an emphasis on the culinary arts back to his home state of Oklahoma upon returning from The Culinary Institute of America and traveling across France. He spent his career bringing attention to Oklahoma's culinary arts and traditions.

To honor him, we have a chance to keep his legacy growing. Before his passing, "JB" told his sister Dr. Kaye Sears he wished to start a scholarship at the University of Central Oklahoma to be awarded annually to a deserving UCO student majoring in family life education or nutrition, dietetics and food management. 

To make his dream come true, we need to raise an initial $10,000. To keep the dream alive in perpetuity through an endowment, we need to raise $25,000 in the next five years.
